Katherine is Steve's wife. She is the youngest of six children. She has two brothers and three sisters who I think really did treat her like the "youngest child". I have watched how she sticks up for Denise and even David if I get on their cases for something because of that.

Katherine is one of the first ones to vollunteer to help out when something needs done. She is such a hard worker.

Whether we are out shooting each other or dressing up for Halloween, she has a great sence of humor! She is a good mother and a wonderful wife who loves her family and the gospel. We all love her very much for all of these qualities and much more.
  • Katherine loves to read
  • Helps her Dad at his Chiropractic Office once a week
  • Teaches the Nine year olds in Primary and is the unofficial Webelo Leader (with Steve)

Super Bowl and Dad's Birthday

I neglected to mention Dad's birthday on the 16th of January. If you look on Denise's facebook you will see, and hear, us sing happy birthday to him. Years ago someone mentioned how badly everyone sounded when they sang Happy Birthday and it has gotten worse with each birthday since. They all have fun doing it. It used to drive my dad crazy. I don't think he ever really understood the Garner humor.

We went over to Stephanie's tonight for dinner and to watch the Super Bowl. Dad had to go to a Stake Priesthood meeting. Everyone said that he should skip the meeting and stay home with us but he was good and went to his meeting. One of the many reasons I love him so much is because of his love of the gospel. He is steady in his belief and has a strong testimony. He came home from his meeting and watched the second half with us and was happy.

We were all rooting for the Colts because Austin Collie plays for them. :(

Steve

Steve is the our sixth child. He was the oldest of "the little kids". He was and still is a great example to all of his brothers and sisters.

I always tried to take the kids about once a year to get their pictures taken until they were in school. Steve hated his picture taken by anyone who he didn't know. Every time we would try, he would start crying. He had to be bribed with an icecream cone to get this one and it took 25 minutes to get one this good! He was very shy and quiet when he was little. I don't remember how he got hurt so many times but around his birthday every year he would cut his lip, have a bump on his head or he would be sick. September wasn't a good month for him. He never complained about anything. He didn't cry much either. . . . except when we wanted a picture. :) He grew up to be just as pleasant. He married Katherine and has three wonderful kids.
  • Steve's second year at South Middle School (the same school I work at) teaching band and jazz band. Also is the Assist. Marching Band Director at the High school
  • He is the Webelo Leader and co-teaches the nine year olds in Primary with Katherine.
This is Steve's Halloween costume. He was a lumber jack . . . I think.

At Thanksgiving some of the kids went to the jr. high to play football. They did some broad jumping too!
