GFL

Every year our family gets together with Roger's brother's family to have the GFL Draft.  Which is fantacy football the Garner way.  The first couple of GFLs were held in our family room and then we tried Scott and Brian's apartment but there was never enough room.  I actually was impressed with what Scott did back then but it has since evolved into quite a production which is even more impressive.  We kick it off Friday night at Steph's with some games and this year we had home made ice cream and other treats.  Mostly we just get together to visit and enjoy each other.

Saturday morning is the Garner open.  I don't have any pictures but there are some on Scott's blogg.  Scott and David tied for the overall win.  There were a lot of other awards give out though . . . longest drive, longest putt, etc. Both for the men and the women that played.

We then had swimming and pizza that Brian and Scott took care of at a friends house.  It was a lot of fun.

We then met at South Middle School for the main event!  Awards were given, the adults did their picks, and the kids played!  Its always a fun weekend and I love being with everyone.  This year Camille's family and Diana couldn't be here and every time someone can't be here it is really noticed.  We all miss the ones that aren't here.  Diana will be welcoming a new baby soon though, so we all are happy for her and Craig!

4th of July

The 4th wa a really fun day.  Everyone was here except Craig's family.  :(  We all missed them.  We had bubbles, baseball, water balloon games, and of course fireworks.  I love our country!  I love celebrating its founding and I really love being with family!

Reliief Society Lessons

I just added the blog that our RS has to my blog list.  I am in Primary and therefore unable to attend RS.  Our ward tapes and then posts the lessons.  If your ward doesn't do this and you can't attend RS you're more then welcomed to listen to ours.  :)  I love the lessons and it helps me to feel more a part of the sisters.

40th Anniversary trip

A month before our anniversary we started thinking about what we wanted to do.  We talked about a couple things but with the weather like it has been we decided it wouldn't be all that fun going to the coast or golfing in the rain.  One night before we went to bed I said, "Why don't we go to all the temples in Idaho?"  He looked at me and said that was just what he was thinking about too.  It was fun spending the two and a half days with him and we both had a great time.

We got married here in the Idaho Falls Temple.  It was fun to go back through.  I love the murals in the old temples and am glad that the newer temples are going back to them.  We were hoping to see Shauna Taylor here because Stephanie P. told us that Shauna was working there.  We missed her but was able to catch up with her later.  We met her at the Red Lobster.  I am so glad we did!  I forget sometimes how much I love this lady!  We visited and got caught up on each others' families.  It made me remember how much I miss her.  She is so giving, strong, faithful, and valient.  At one point she told me that I was an example to her.  That is the one thing she got wrong . . . She has always been the greatest example to me.

This is the Rexburg temple and it was VERY windy.  It was very beautiful.
We did inititories at the Twin Falls temple.  It is always so good to go back and do that.  I love the blessings that are given to us and I suggest everyone to go and do them more.
