Emily and her cousin
Grandma Cray

Aunt Mary, Nicolle, and Aunt Cathy

While Roger and I were in Utah, we also went and saw my Mom and Dad. My brother John, Mary, and their kids; and Nicole and Sophie were all visiting from California. We had a good visit and got a lot accomplished in Mom's basement. I'm so grateful for John and how hard he works every time he visits there. He is a great brother and a good son.
Grandpa is doing about the same. He moves around very slow these days. He is on oxygen all the time now and still sleeps until one or two in the afternoon.
Cooper Kraig Garner
Hi, I'm 4 days old! I am a new Boy and am happy to be here!

I have been so bad about updating the blog. We all had a great Thanksgiving, especially Craig and Diana. Diana had Cooper on Monday who weighed in at 6 pounds 12 ounces. Both are doing good.

Trick-or-treat!

Halloween can be pretty scary, especially when the kids come over to trick-or-treat! Denise was one of the Twilight charactors and Roger . . . . well Roger just got his head sprayed black from a lady in the ward at the Harvest Fest. Those are the only two that need an explanation.

Lucas and Ty at McDonalds

I took care of Lucas and Ty so Lynne and Bryan could go to the game. We had fun at McDonald's.

The Long trip home!

These are pictures of Roger and Brian during our two hour wait at the border!
Roger, Scott, Brian and I all went down to Utah this weekend. We left here Friday at 6:00 p.m and got home Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. What you need to know is the trip home took us 11 and 1/2 hours!! Yes that's right. ELEVEN AND A HALF! It usually is a five hour trip. We left Lynne's house after the boys got home from the game. It was 8:00 p.m. We drove to the Utah/Idaho border where we found out the road was closed because of weather conditions. We tried calling the road condition info center and all the recording would say was that the road was closed. It was odd because where we sat the roads were clear and dry. We made the assumption that they would open the road at any time. WRONG. We sat for two hours and nothing. We all took a vote and decided to go back to Tremonton (a 40 mile trip) and drive up and around Pocatello to get home. When we got to Pocatello the snow storm of the century was waging. We fought our way through to Twin Falls going mostly 35 to 40 miles an hour. I actually got up to 50 at one point for a five mile stretch but it was bad. We finally pulled into our drive way at 7:45 a.m.! I had our Primary Practice for the Sacrament Meeting program next week and felt like I had to be here. I had offered many prayers on the way home and am just glad we made it safe and sound.
When we changed drivers in Pocatello, Roger and I ran in to a convenience store. The lady behind the counter knew who Roger and I were the minute she saw us. We on the other hand had to be told that she was a very close friend to Shauna Harrison and knew us from over thirty years ago. She was so young when we lived there I don't know how she remembered us but she did. Her name was Karla Woods. She was very excited to see us.

Twin Falls with the YW/YM

Last weekend Dad, David and I all went down to Twin Falls to go to the open house on the new temple. It was a great trip. The temple was beautiful as always plus we had fun with the kids. Dad is still in the YM program and they invited David and I to go along.

The house

We took David home from the air port. I think he was a little taken back at the changes in the house

David's return

We love having David home. His flight came in a few minutes early on Thursday at 10:20 a.m. He met Addie and Grant for the first time and was surprised at how the other nieces and nephews had grown.

Camping . . . Garner Style

The only way to get our family up to the mountains is to stage a mock war. The kids all have air soft guns. Jennilyn's parents have let us use their "cabin" for the last three years. This year we went up and the kids . . . and Roger played with the guns. They had a lot of fun and we sure do appreciate the Cleggs for letting us use their place.

Our changing home

We think David is going to be surprised when he comes home in a week and a half. Since he has been gone we have painted all four bedrooms, tiled our bathroom floor and counter, painted the outside of our home, and tore half of the wall out of the living room. We wanted to have the new flooring in before he came home but it looks like that won't happen. We've been working at it but it will take a month for the carpet to be ordered and laid down. We hope he likes it.
