Christmas

Everyone came to our ward for Christmas and I loved having them all there.  I was going to write something about the meeting but it wouldn't be that nice so I'll skip making any comments except it sure made me happy that all the kids here in Idaho came to our ward. Afterward they all came to the house and we had a wonderful Christmas Day.  I stress and worry that the kids aren't going to like what they get.  I would never know if they did or not because they all seem so happy about everything.  It was fun to see them open their gifts.  I love giving gifts and there is nothing like watching someone open a gift that you have given them and they act surprized and happy.  I love that part of Christmas.

We were all exhausted at the end of the day!

Brian's birthday!

I thought I'd better post about Brian's birthday.  I sure do love this guy. Thanks for letting us continue to celebrate your birthdays with us.  It always brings back memories and I am so proud to be a Mom of such a great person.  I know Dad feels the same way.  We love you Brian!

Halloween of the Past . . . . Now that is SPOOKY!

After my last post I started thinking about having to dress up the kids every Halloween.  In the end, they usually were happy with their costumes BUT it was stressful coming up with them sometimes.  It is amazing what a hat can do.  I would start with a hat and go from there.  I hope you all enjoy a walk in the past.

I love Halloween

Sooooo many people tell me how they hate Halloween.  I think they almost convinced me that I didn't like it too but I've decided that I really do love it.  Kids think differently then adults.  They love dress up and Halloween is the one day of the year that they get to pretend to be super heros, princesses, mermaids, and yes, even witches, and monsters,  (which THEY don't connect to satan).  They love seeing what all their friends decided to be and they really love knocking on doors and saying, "Trick-or Treat"!  You can go to Jennilynn's, Diana's, and Lynne's blogs to see their spooky kids but Katherine doesn't have a blog so I'll post hers here.

I just remembered why I didn't like it when the kids were young.  I remember being a mom of nine kids and having to come up with costumes for them with out any money.  That was hard but some of their cosumes turned out pretty cute.  We had a lot of football players and referee's through the years though!!

Hayden's Blessing

We drove down to Utah on October 21st for Hayden's blessing.  She is such a beautiful baby .   Craig and Diana chose to drive up from Cedar City to Saratoga Springs so more family members could be there.  Diana's parents were so wonderful to let us all come to their home.  Her mother served breakfast to everyone and it was delicious!  Diana made Hayden's blessing dress and it was beautiful too.  Everything was very nice.

Hayden August Garner and her brother, Cooper

I left here Thursday and drove to Lynne's.  I just drove the whole way without stopping because Lynne called me and told me Lucas had a football game that night.  I knew if I stopped, I probably wouldn't make it on time.  Lynne even had to run Lucas there and then drive back to her house to wait for me.  It was so funn watching him play.  Right off the bat the first play Lucas got the ball and ran it down for a touchdown.  I spent the night there before starting off for Cedar City.

I got to Cedar City on Friday.  I probably passed Craig and Cooper on the way.  They were on their way to Provo for the BYU football game.  He got home late but Diana and I had a good visit catching up on all the Garner news.

Hayden is such beautiful baby.  She is the sweetest little thing.  I am so glad I was able to go down and see her. Cooper will be a good big brother.  He  moves faster that a tornado and doesn't stay still for long.  He is so fun and I was just as happy to be able to get to play and talk to him as I was the baby!  These kids change and grow so fast and I don't get to see Craig's family as much as I'd like to.  I had a very enjoyable visit.
